We bought "Annie" from Reg & Betty Campion in 2004 as a fully trained reining horse with an NRHA State Title to her name (trained and shown by Glen Wyse). The plan was for her to go reining with Barbara, but within weeks she was passed on to Stefan, who very quickly discovered her enormous cutting potential. She spent 3 months with Steve Elks working cattle in early 2005. Since then she has been trained by Stefan - mostly on the mechanical cow.

By January 2006 "Annie" was awarded the "High-Point Beginner Horse of 2005" by the Big River Cutting Club, 12 months after first working a cow. By the end of 2006 she has managed to place at every  show (bar one) she attended since commencing her cutting training. In September 2006 she placed in the NCHA Rookies class at the Bonalbo "State Of Origin" show.By December 2006 she earned her owner the "High-Point Beginner Rider of 2006"In the process she placed in the Rookies class at the Bonalbo "State Of Origin" show, making her one of the very few dual NCHA and NRHA money earners in Australian History.

In 2007 Annie took a break from cutting to go reining, which was cut short (only 1 show) due to the outbreak of Equine Influenza. With no shows on the horizon she was put in foal to our stallion "Poco Blue Moon".

In 2008 she returned to cutting at only 2 shows (5 months pregnant) for 3 wins and a second place, to earn the title of Runner-Up Snafflebit Champion (Area 5) for 2008. In October she foaled a beautiful red roan colt.

In 2009 Annie had a slow start, but her campaign for the National High-Point Snaflbit title was cut short after only 5 shows. First an stone bruise meant that she missed the three best-paying cuttings in our area. Just when she recovered from this injury, she suffered a twisted colon and almost died. After she recovered we decided to breed her to Peptos Stylish Oak, and flush an embryo from her to have 2 foals. The embryo transfer was succesful, but it got too late to breed her, and we took her home.

She has managed to win the Open Cutting and Open Senior Reining on the same day in May 2006 at the North Coast Western Riders Club. She was awarded Champion Quarterhorse, won the Senior Horse Reining and her first (and only) ever Senior Horse Trail in May 2007. She has scored as high as 73 1/2 in cutting and 78 in reining.
