When Skipa Spin almost died In 2009 due to a twisted colon, we made the decision to urgently breed ourselves foal from her - she was bred to Peptos Stylish Oak and the embryo transferred to allow Skipa Spin to recover from her ordeal. In August 2010 the recipient mare "Sox" delivered a gorgeous red roan filly, nicknamed Lolly, after her great-grandmother Lolita. The decision to breed to Peptos was easy, as he has been the leading cutting horse sire in Australia for many years now, and an excellent cross over Spinifex mares. This cross has produced leading cutting horses, such as Oak And Ashes ($62,000), One Stylish Pepto ($58,000), One Roan Pepto ($57,000) and Currell Peptos Shadow ($45,000).
Lolly has been retained by stud, and is currently enjoying her time growing up, sharing her paddock with her biological mother - who looks after her as if she was her own...

Dams Sire: Docs Spinifex (imp/dec), first winner of the NCHA (AUS) triple crown, lte $29,000+. He is the all-time #1 leading sire, #1 paternal grand-sire and #1 maternal grand-sire of cutting horses in Australia. He has produced progeny earning close to $4 million in cutting, almost three times the amount earned by the next most successful sire, Docs Freckles Oak (imp), his half brother. Doc's Spinifex has produced 10 NCHA futurity champions, 11 NCHA Derby champions, as well as NRHA futurity champions, campdraft and challenge champions. He is also the sire of One Hell Ofa Spin (lte $145,000+), and One Moore Spin (lte $110,000+), the 2 all-time leading cutting horses in Australia. Dam's Dam: Skipa Spin is out of Walla Richelle (dec), NRHA m/e, who earned over 60 AQHA points, AQHA ROM Youth Reining and $260+ in NRHA earnings against her name. She was mostly ridden by Youth riders and only produced 4 foals.
She was by Skipa Bill who has earned over 200 AQHA points and achieved 12 AQHA awards, including an ROM in Working Cowhorse & Reining. Whilst Skipa Bill became an outstanding reining horse, his full brother Luminate specialised in cutting, earning over $4000 in NCHA competitions and over 250 AQHA points and also 12 awards. Another brother Super Shine finalled at the Moonbi futurity and placed 3rd at the NCHA futurity.
Skipa Bill was by Bill's Shine (imp) (ROM cutting & reining) who in turn was by Hollywood Bill, 3rd in the NCHA (US) futurity, a son of Hollywood Gold.
Walla Richelle's dam was Lolita, who produced 16 foals, 14 of which went on to earn AQHA points - in actual fact over 2,000 AQHA points in total.
Her sire was Bronze Savage (iiu), who's sire My Barbarian was an AQHA champion son of the legendary Three Bars. Bronze Savage was imported in utero of Chocolate Susie, dam of superior cutting horse Commanders Leo (by Commanders Boy*).
